Cookie Policy

Technical cookies (always active)

These do not require consent because they are essential for the site to work:

• NEXT_LOCALE — remembers the chosen language (Italian/English) between visits. Duration: 1 year.
• il-pozzo-admin-session — cookie for staff sign-in to the site's private area; not relevant to public visitors. Expires on logout or after 8 hours.
• il-pozzo-cookie-consent — not a cookie but an entry in the browser's local storage (localStorage): remembers whether you accepted or declined statistics cookies, so the banner does not reappear on every page. It stays until you delete it or change your choice from «Cookie preferences».

Statistics cookies (only with your consent)

If you click «Accept» in the banner, we activate Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate form, how the site is used (pages visited, traffic source, device). Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga, _ga_* and _gid, lasting up to 2 years, and sends data to Google LLC. You can read Google's notice at privacy.google.com.

If you decline, these cookies are not set and, if you had previously accepted them, they are automatically removed (_ga, _ga_* and _gid) and data collection stops immediately.

Third-party content

The Contact page shows the Google Maps embed only if you press «Show the map»: before that, no data is sent to Google. After the click Google may set its own cookies under its own notice (privacy.google.com). The «Open in Google Maps» link only takes you to Google's site if you click it.

Managing your preferences

You can change the choice made on the cookie banner at any time from the «Cookie preferences» link at the bottom of every page: it brings the banner back. You can also block or delete cookies directly from your browser settings — though this may limit some site features.
