The House · since 1888
A family of innkeepers,
a palazzo in the old town.
The Davoli-Battistessa family have been innkeepers in Reggio since 1888. Il Pozzo began as a small cellar — the name comes from the room dug into the cool stone below — and in time became a restaurant.

The classic room
and the vaulted cellar.
Above, the bright room for lunches and celebrations. Below, the barrel-vaulted cellar: more intimate, more convivial — the part guests remember.

Seventy seats outside,
from April to September.
A garden like this in the old town is rare. In summer we dine outside, under the trees, a step from Teatro Ariosto.
We're open,
Tuesday to Saturday.
Send us the details, we confirm on WhatsApp. For parties over eight we'd rather hear from you by phone.
